Do you offer private toursYes! In order to book a private tour you will need to have at least 10 guests in your group.
-
What if I'm a solo rider and don't have a group I'm coming with me?No problem there! We have lots of guests that want to go on expeditions without a posse! It takes 6 people to get a tour locked down, but we can work on pairing you up with other small groups or you can hop on one of our existing excursions.
-
Will I need a passport? If going to Baja, yes – you will need one of these to return to the United States. No exceptions. Valid passport -OR- Valid passport card https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.html Note: A Mexican Tourist Visa is required only if we are taking the 5-day Loreto Peninsula tour or 7-day Excursion to Cabo.
-
What should I pack?Luggage: Pack light, you will be in your riding gear every day. Gear bag or soft luggage works best. Clothes: T-shirts, pullovers and jeans work everywhere in Baja. Casual shoes, shorts, swimming suits, and sturdy sandals are good in the early fall and spring. Rule of thumb - expect to typically wear layers. Misc: Bring sunscreen, camera, memory cards, batteries, cell phone charger, cash (Baja uses the same currency as the US), sunglasses, and a ball cap for during the day. If bringing personal medications, they need to be in their original packaging from the doctor or pharmacy. IF RIDING A BIKE, MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR OWN CAMELBAK! The largest one you can find.
-
Are hotel rooms single or double occupancy? All hotel rooms are double occupancy. We stay in some very small towns on some nights where the boutique hotels have limited availability, therefore, our prices/packages are based upon double occupancy only.
-
Can I drive a buggy by myself? Our buggies are all double occupancy. We find that this works best for our guests because it gives everyone breaks throughout the day to relax in the passenger seat and take in the sights! And though every minute of every day is FULL of adventure, it can sometimes get exhausting driving from sun up to sun down. Our #1 priority is to give YOU the best experience possible.
-
How much cash should I bring? As you know your adventure tour with GBGD is all-inclusive! We take care of your transportation on pickup day, your bike/buggy, gas, hotels, and all meals/snacks/drinks (alcohol excluded). We only require that you bring your Crash Damages Deposit in CASH. If you plan on enjoying an ice cold cerveza or an authentic Cadillac margarita, or want to shop local from the friendly vendors, you will need cash for that as well. Small bills ($1’s, $5’s, $10’s, $20’s) are best so local vendors can make change easily.
-
Will I need a motorcycle license to ride dirtbikes in Baja? No, you do not need a motorcycle license to take our tours on a dirtbike.
-
If I get injured on the trail, can we contact for help?Yes! Though we have an impeccable safety record, we are fully prepared should someone get sick or injured. We are equipped with an emergency satellite phone that allows us a line of communication at all times.
-
