EXPERT CLASS WINS AT AVE’S 125

Team Go Baja/Go Desert’s owner and tour guide Bruce “Bruno” Anderson dominated in the AVE Racing Series motorcycle round, taking home two expert class wins! The 125 series is held in beautiful Baja California, located just south of the seaside tourist town of Ensenada.

AVE Racing is a series event, run with multiple events in both the US and down south in Baja, California. This cross-country event took place across the mountain range between the Pacific Ocean and some very remote farm lands, just above some of Baja’s most rugged coastline. The races in Baja are safe and fun—but they do get competitive!

Bruno led from the start of the moto cross section and out into the mountain section of this new, tough single track for the first of his two expert class wins! His moto finish was uncontested.

“We had a clean run!” said Bruno. “My 12-year-old son Max was my only pit crew and he was there, cheering me on, through the entire 100-mile event!”

Bruno’s Honda Fleet CRF-450x tour bike ran flawlessly with the tour- & race-proven products that we were proudly outfitted with, from:

—Precision Concepts: Suspension (Riverside, CA)
—Seat Concepts: Custom Race/Tour Seats (Perris, CA)
—IMS: Fuel Tanks (Riverside, CA)
—AXP Racing: Composite Skid Plates and Rad Guards (Wambrechies, France)
—Alpinestars: Tech 10 Race Boots (Torrance, CA)

Go Baja/Go Desert would also like to thank Bomber Eyewear for their amazing products and support!

Bruno also personally recommends the following products as they have been through the torture tests on tour and in racing:

—AssaultIND’s Suspension Products
—Ricochet Offroad’s Skid Plates
—King Shocks, Safety Nets and Belts
—WildCat Willies’ Shift Products

Go Baja/Go Desert also commissioned their first UTV race at this event—just that same afternoon! This was a 125 mile race and the course set-up across much of the same terrain as the moto race. Bruno took his 12-year-old son Max as his co-driver—this was Max’s first competitive racing event!

“This was a magical time for me and my son,” Bruno recalled, “and we had a fantastic run, with no mechanical problems. We used our Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 for this first race and we were totally successful.”

In addition, Bruno would like to personally thank Dirtwheels Magazine’s Managing Editor, Cain Smead, for all of his help with the off road car and putting in the extra time putting us in touch with the right products and services. Dirtwheels has great information to get your motor running! (as the song goes).

See you on the trail!
